The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who go to a website service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing of all consumers and enhance entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
